What a three days it has been in Utah! We had been teased the past couple weeks with some smaller storms, but the real deal came through the past few days. Once winter starts we will posting weekly weather forecasts and in turn we will try to report actual snow totals after the storm comes through. See below for a few of the 3 day storm totals around Northern Utah:
This week’s ” Park City Deal of the Week ” is actually a new project. There have not been many new construction projects the past few years with the real estate downturn. This appears to be a thing of the past. With the increased demand and quickly diminishing inventory levels, developers are starting to go back to work!
Another week closer to ski season! As I am typing this post the wind is howling and the rain is really coming down. The forecast for tonight is rain changing to snow with snow on and off through Thursday. It’s our first big winter storm of the season. Forecasts range from 6″ to over 2+ feet! One of my favorite things about living in a ski town is the excitement for snow. Growing up in Cincinnati, everyone dreaded snow. Out here in Park City, it is celebrated. Whether its the bank, the local deli, or the grocery store the town fills with energy as ski season approaches. Enough about the weather, I will start up my powder forecasts here in the next few weeks. Onto this week’s installment of ‘Weekly events in Park City, Utah’

I was able to sneak away from the office last week for a couple hours to enjoy one of the last warm fall days in Park City. We tend to forget as locals how many fun activities we have around town even in the fall. Thus we decided to go do the Alpine Coaster and Alpine Slide at Park City Mountain Resort.
Not a bad view from the top of Jupiter Lift at #4 ranked Park City Mountain Resort this morning. Congrats to PCMR for the top 5 ranking with SKI Magazine! Mother nature put down a nice blank last night above 8500 ft. This was our second Park City snowfall of the season. Starting to feel like winter around Park City. Get those skis and boards waxed!
