Park City Recreation

Hope everyone had a great week.  Brighton and Solitude opened for skiing this past weekend so ski season has started!  It won’t be long now before the resorts here in Park City open for the season.  Until the resorts open take a look below for other ideas of events around town:

November 12th – Park City Film Series – Where Soldiers Come From

The film is an intimate look at the young men who fight our wars and the families and town they come from. Returning to her hometown, Director Heather Courtney gains extraordinary access following these young men as they grow and change from teenagers stuck in their town, to National Guard soldiers looking for roadside bombs in Afghanistan, to 23-year-old veterans dealing with the silent war wounds of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and PTSD.

November 13rd – PC MARC Wellness Lunch and Learn

The PC MARC is hosting monthly wellness “lunch and learn” gatherings. Local community experts speak directly with you and answer questions in a small group format.  Park City Recreation Center 12pm – 1pm

November 14th – 17th – Egyptian Theatre – Tower of Power

ower of Power blends soul, funk, jazz, and rock like no other band. Tower’s rhythm section lays down an infectious groove. The band’s horn driven sound is unique, and the way they approach everything, from writing and arranging to mixing and performing, is totally their own. Combine all of that with an outstanding lead vocalist and you have one of the most dynamic groups of musicians to ever hit the stage!

November 15th – Veteran’s Day Artist Reception

Kimball Art Center 6pm-8pm
