Spring Fling Events

Spring Fling :: Park City events from April to June

With the increase of daylight and bluebird days on the mountain, it’s not hard to find thoughts turning to spring and the numerous activities and traditions that signify the end of the winter months in the Wasatch. Here are some of the highlights for springtime community events and activities in Park City.

Red White and Snow — March 3-5, 2016

Red, White & Snow is the National Ability Center’s premier fundraiser. This culinary, wine, and ski festival is among the top in the country and continues to rise in popularity and recognition. The weekend-long event celebrates some of the nation’s top chefs and finest vintners. The program offers a unique opportunity for culinary and wine connoisseurs, vintners and snow sports enthusiasts from across the country to mingle in an extraordinary setting.

Spring Gruv — March 12-27, 2016

Ninth annual Spring Gruv celebrations at Canyons Village have become synonymous with the start of spring. Guests enjoy 16 days of free outdoor apres ski concerts featuring live music in the resort village, including Canis Lupus natural half-pipe race (March 12) and the annual Pond Skimming (March 19) hilarity/madness involving costumed participants competing for the bragging rights of making it furthest distance across a 100-foot pond of icy water while on their skis or snowboards. The wackier the ware, the wilder the crowd.

Easter Egg Hunts — March 27, 2016

The Easter bunny visits both Deer Valley and Park City Mountain with events and egg hunts starting at 9 a.m. Check out each resort’s websites for more details.

Spring Concert Series — Saturdays until April 9

Through April 9, free après concerts will take place at 3:00 PM every Saturday, as well as select Fridays and Sundays, on the Canyons Village Stage and starting March 5, in the Park City Base Area; on Legacy Lodge’s PayDay Deck.

Park City Follies — April 22 to May 1, 2016

This annual romp is always original, always insightful, and hilarious to its core. It’s a lampoon of Park City people, politics, developments, and events. Just a slight poke of the stick at the soft underbelly of our community.

Running With Ed — May 21, 2016

The 7th annual Running with Ed (RWE) relay is a 38-mile, 10 leg race that traverses spectacular Park City, to raise money for the Park City Educational Foundation, a non-profit serving all Park City schools. The course offers everything from trail to pavement, challenging climbs to fast downhills, easy legs for beginners and tough ones for experts.

Savor the Summit — June 19, 2016

Park City’s biggest outdoor dinner party offering diners a unique celebration of fabulous food, drink and live music while seated at the “Grand Table” in the middle of Main Street. Park City best restaurants will showcase their culinary talents in an open air community celebration. No ticket needed, but you do need to make a reservation directly with participating restaurants offering their own choice of menu, pricing and bar service.
