Sundance Film Festival starts this week. Take a look at all the Sundance Film Festival Events below and more:
January 16th-26th: Sundance Film Festival
Each year, the Sundance Film Festival team reviews thousands of independent films from all across the world. These films span nearly every language known to man, broach any and all topics one could imagine, and represent many different genres — from animation to indigenous works to cult films. The mission of the Festival programming team is to find features and documentaries that “inspire, challenge, delight, startle, move and thrill” viewers.
January 17th-18th: US Grand Prix Slopestyle & Halfpipe
Once again, the Eagle Superpipe will host the world’s best freeskiers as 2014 Olympic hopefuls boost and twist in the first Grand Prix of the competition season. Many of the world’s finest freeskiers are expected to compete in both Halfpipe and Slopestyle disciplines at this Grand Prix stop. This event is the final opportunity for athletes from several countries, including the United States, to qualify for their countries’ Olympic Freeskiing teams. Men’s and women’s events in both disciplines will be held on both January 17 and 18, with winners for both events being crowned on each of those days.
We should have great weather this week as well. So if you need a break from all the movies go out for a hike and enjoy the great sunny weather!
Enjoy the week!
