Christmas eve PCMR

Happy Holidays to everyone and Merry Xmas eve to those that celebrate Xmas!  Santa is not going to have a problem landing his sleigh in Park City, that is for sure.  As I type this post it is snowing like crazy outside.  The resorts already picked up around 6-8 inches last night and I suspect by tomorrow morning will be well over a foot!  That being said if you are “skied out” from all the powder and looking for something else to do around town, take a look at this week’s Weekly Events in Park City, Utah:

December 24th – (Traditional Torchlight Parade at Park City Mtn Resort)

Enjoy holiday music and hot beverages and cookies on the plaza at sunset before watching our ski and snowboard school snake down PayDay trail for a traditional torchlight parade. Admission and refreshments are free.

December 27th – (Silver Queen Ball)

A benefit event for the Park City Museum. Dinner, auction and dancing to Otis Day and The Knights. Tickets are going fast. . .don’t miss this wonderful evening! RSVP to Park City Museum,  435-649-7457.

December 27th-28th – (Holiday Snowshoe tours at Swaner EcoCenter)

Join us over the holiday break as Swaner staff lead a guided snowshoe tour on the Preserve for all ages and snowshoe abilities.Come learn about the land use and natural history of the Preserve, while exploring animal tracks and searching for other signs of animal life on the Preserve. Please come prepared with snow gear, such as boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, winter coat, etc. Snowshoes are available for rental upon request. The tour begins and ends at the Swaner EcoCenter. RSVP to 435-649-1767 x 0 or swanerecocenter@usu.edu

Starting December 27th through March – (Powder Champagne Ice Lounge)

For the winter season, Waldorf Astoria Park City will be featuring the Powder Champagne Ice Lounge. This outdoor lounge will include a 14 foot fully sculpted ice bar as well as sculpted furniture. In addition, there will be a separate heated zone for socializing. The Ice Lounge will primarily serve Champagne by the bottle and glass, while all specialty cocktails will be served inside at Powder’s main bar. Live music will take place in the Ice Lounge every Thursday evening!

December 28th – (Park City Gallery Stroll)

On the last Friday of each month, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., members of the Park City Gallery Association offer a unique showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits and art events.  The Gallery Stroll is a free community event that gives locals and Park City visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while exploring Park City’s exciting art scene.

Happy Holidays and think snow!
