Weekly events in Park City, Utah | Oct. 22nd-28th

By

Another week closer to ski season!  As I am typing this post the wind is howling and the rain is really coming down. The forecast for tonight is rain changing to snow with snow on and off through Thursday.  It’s our first big winter storm of the season.  Forecasts range from 6″ to over 2+ feet!  One of my favorite things about living in a ski town is the excitement for snow.  Growing up in Cincinnati, everyone dreaded snow.  Out here in Park City, it is celebrated.  Whether its the bank, the local deli, or the grocery store the town fills with energy as ski season approaches.  Enough about the weather, I will start up my powder forecasts here in the next few weeks.  Onto this week’s installment of Weekly events in Park City, Utah :

October 24th – (Family Spooktacular Science Night)

Make your own slime, magic potions, and atomic-glow worms, discover the mysteries of dry ice and “ghost eggs”, and learn the science behind it all! You’ll even get to make a toothbrush robot! We encourage everyone to attend in costume – perhaps as your favorite scientist! 6-8pm

October 25th-27th  – (Jekyll & Hyde @ The Egyptian Theatre)

After four thrilling, chilling years on Broadway and multiple world-wide tours, this dark and dangerous love story from Tony® and Grammy® Award nominee Frank Wildhorn comes to the Egyptian Theatre in a production by Dark Horse Company Theatre.

Park City Mountain Resort is going to bring on the snow and host the fourth annual Thriller Snow Dance!Participants are encouraged to don zombie and/or winter attire including ski or snowboard boots, to thrill the world and dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller!” 4:30 – 6:30pm

October 27th – (32nd Annual Jans Winter Welcome)

Join your Park City friends and Olympic and Sports Celebrities for an unforgettable evening featuring a silent and live auction, live music, and an Opportunity Drawing to win a VIP trip for two to the 2013 Kentucky Derby. 6pm-11pm
