The Round Valley Roundup—Nordic Ski, is a 5K, 20K, and 40K community based event designed to encourage skiers of all levels. Pro level skiers will find it fast, amateur racers a great challenge, and lifestyle skiers a tick on the bucket list.
The Round Valley Roundup will be a one or two lap event, easy uphill grades, fun down hills and totally spectator friendly. Elevation change in one lap is approx. 1,200 feet with no hill exceeding 200 feet of gain.
Round Valley is located adjacent to the Park City Ice Area and Sports Complex at 600 Gilmore Way, Park City, Utah (just off the junction of State Highway 40 and State Route 248). Nearly 700 acres of preserved open space! Much of the year, Round Valley is used for mountain biking, hiking, and trial running. But after a good winter dousing of snow, Round Valley, accommodates snowshoeing, snow biking, and Nordic skiing.
Mountain Trails Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), is dedicated to promoting and maintaining Park City, Utah trails for non-motorized recreational use. All events, produced by Mountain Trails Foundation, showcase Park City’s unique and diverse trail system (summer & winter) spread throughout the community and among three world class resorts (Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyon’s Resort). All funds raised through the events series help to continue the Foundation’s mission.
