Construction of Canyons Resort Golf Course commenced in 2010 with Earth movers doing a rough cut of nine of the planned 18 holes in 2011. Construction has been ongoing in 2013 and below are some recent photos showing the latest progress that has been made on the back nine.
The 6,256-yard, par-70 course, designed by Gene Bates, will offer stunning views and a challenging layout with the start and finish by the Grand Summit Hotel.
Featuring 1,000+ feet of elevation change, the Canyons Resort Golf Course will offer dramatic views of the Wasatch Mountains and surrounding valleys. Mountain holes feature long views into the valley below and are characterized with exposed rock accents and dramatic elevation changes. Meadow holes will feature sage brush and other native plants throughout.
Given its connection to the Resort Village and Canyons’ world-class properties, the golf course will be ideal for guests and owners of Canyons Resort.
Please check this site periodically for updated information and photos of progress being made on the Canyons Resort Golf Course.
Canyons Resort is the newest of Park City’s three ski resorts, closest from airport, and the largest in Utah. Before Talisker purchased Canyons Resort in 2008, it was already rated one of the top ski resorts in the world. Approximately 3 years, and an entire re-creation later, and now with Vail operating Canyons Resort, it has become more than just the fourth largest ski resort in North America. At 4,000 acres: it’s become a premier four-season mountain destination. SKI magazine has ranked Canyons Resort #10 for the 2013/2014 ski season! Canyons Resort real estate has also become a great place to buy a second home ski property if you are in the market for Park City real estate.
