Happy Holidays! Hope everyone is ready for a great week of events around town. For the full run down of Park City Events see below:
December 16th-23rd: Holidays in Historic Park City
Holiday festivities continue in Historic Park City through the Holiday Season and include Free Parking on Main Street and a Window Display Contest through December 20, 2013. Juggling elves, a Strolling Santa and Mrs. Claus and carolers will spread Holiday cheer on select dates through December 23, 2014. For a full calendar of family friendly events and activities, please visit www.historicparkcityutah.com.
December 23rd-25th: Santa on the Slopes at Canyons Resort
December 24th: Traditional Torchlight Parade & Christmas Eve Celebration
The Torchlight Parade is quite possibly one of the greatest traditions Park City Mountain Resort has. On Christmas Eve, our ski and snowboard instructors line up at the top of PayDay, and serpentine down the run with only their torchlights to light the way, with Santa Claus bringing up the rear and making his final appearance on the mountain before taking off on his worldwide tour to deliver presents to the kids.
December 27th: Park City Gallery Stroll
On the last Friday of each month, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., members of the Park City Gallery Association offer a unique showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits and art events. The Gallery Stroll is a free community event that gives locals and Park City visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while exploring Park City’s exciting art scene.
December 28th: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
With blasting horns and rollicking rhythm, the ultimate big band decks the halls with yuletide swagger. Tapping into the holiday classics as well as BBVD originals, the seven-piece group gets lowdown and hip with jazz-blues-rockswing- funk tunes.
December 28th-29th: Olympic Trials Ski Jumping & Nordic Combined
Spots for Sochi will be on the line Dec. 28, where top contender Billy DeMong, Olympic Nordic combined champion, will have a chance to win and be nominated for the U.S. Olympic Team. The U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team won four medals in Vancouver breathing new life into the discipline.
