Park City Events | Jan. 4th-10th, 2016
Happy New Year to everyone! Hope 2016 is a great year 🙂 Take a look below for this week’s events around town this week:
Jan. 6th-10th: Village People at Egyptian Theatre
Village People were an instant phenomenon in the Disco era and have sold more than 100 million recordings. Their music and campy images have remained a mainstay in American pop culture. YMCA, In the Navy, Macho Man. Shows are Wednesday thru Sunday, January 6th to 10th.
Jan. 7th: State Road Tavern Opening
Opening day for State Road Tavern located in the Dejoria Center at High Star Ranch in Kamas. State Road Tavern has something for everyone. Our custom built smoker cooks certified Angus beef, pork and organic chicken over western oak and cherry wood. Offering over 20 beers and craft cocktails, it’s the perfect spot to watch the game, enjoy the deck or cozy up by the fireplace with family and friends. Thursday – Sunday 11am – 9pm
Jan. 9th: An Evening with the Creators of Invisible Thread
Park City knows Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews as the creators of the Broadway-bound musical “Witness Uganda” – now renamed “Invisible Thread.” This tale of triumph and tragedy set in Uganda (where Matthews traveled on a humanitarian mission in 2005 while grappling with his NYC church’s lack of acceptance of his homosexuality), combines Afro-pop music and heart-wrenching narratives as it tackles the question: Is changing the world even possible? The powerful evening with the award-winning co-creators is part concert, part storytelling, part call to action.
Enjoy your week and think snow!
