It’s that time of year again in Park City, UT. The leaves are long gone, days are getting shorter, and snowfall has begun to blanket the Wasatch Mountains we all love so dearly. So the story goes every November…
Time to dust off the cobwebs and get the winter gear tuned up in time for Thanksgiving weekend. This past system left us with another 6-12 inches of snow in the mountains to add to the two feet that has already fallen in November. The plentiful powder and cold temperatures helped Park City Mountain Resort call today opening day to an elated crowd waiting for 9 am to roll around. Canyons Resort is scheduled to open this upcoming Friday, on November 29, with Deer Valley waiting until Decmeber 7 to start spinning their lifts to ensure great coverage and snow quality.
If three world class resorts within six miles of each other don’t cure your early season fix head over to Little or Big Cottonwood Canyon and see what Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude have to offer as all four are open for the season.
