Solamere Loop – Park City, Utah
This week’s Park City Trail of the Week is located in the lower Deer Valley area of Park City. The Solamere Loop Trail offers a great climb through scrub oak and offers stunning views of Park City and Deer Valley throughout the climb. To access the Solamere Loop Trail heads towards Deer Valley ski Resort, drive past Snowpark Lodge and park in the back parking lot for Deer Valley ski resort. Head towards the Deer Crest gate shown below:
You can see trail to the left of the Deer Crest sign. There are a number of variations of this loop. If you do the entire loop you are looking at 7.2 miles and around 1200 vertical feet of total climbing. The hike I did combined the Snowtop trail and was only about 3.5 miles round trip.
