Canyons Resort Golf Course Opens For Limited Play
I have been waiting years to say this… “let’s go play a round of golf at Canyons Resort”! After years of road blocks, design changes, litigation, and hundreds of hours of planning, the Canyons Resort Golf Course is now finished and open for limited play! Yes… I said finished and open in a sentence! The Park City 18 hole Gene Bates designed course officially began with a ceremony & ribbon cutting which was followed by a shot gun style tournament. The golf course will open to the public for full play this spring. No word or information yet on pricing and bookings, but I will be keeping an eye on this and be certain to relay the details.
The Canyons Resort Golf Course was in great shape for it’s first week of play. The mountain views from the greens & fairways made it worth the wait. The first hole starts in the Resort Village next to the Orange Bubble Express Ski Lift and from there the course begins it’s climb up the mountain. There is 550 feet of elevation change which gives dramatic mountain views and some fun golf shots.
This is another substantial positive added to the recent list of announcements for Canyons Resort. The new golf course is going to help drive summer rentals and conference bookings. If you are thinking of buying, I don’t expect waiting over the next few years will bode well. Considering the lack of inventory for sale and the plan to connect Canyons Resort to Park City Mountain Resort, I expect values will be heading higher.
