July 19th: Hops on the Hill
Hops on the Hill is a Tuesday Night Summer Festival at Stein Eriksen Lodge, located mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort. Each event will feature beer samplings by Utah’s finest, award-winning craft breweries from Artisan Brew Masters, Chef Zane’s patio barbeque pairings and a free concert on the lawn. This is a six-week series kicks off July 12th. July 20th: Park City Farmers’ Market at Canyons Village
Each Wednesday, Canyons Village at Park City will once again host Park City’s Farmers’ Market from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Cabriolet parking lot. Stop by for fresh produce, fresh baked bread and arts and crafts from local vendors. We expect the Farmers’ Market to run from June 1, 2016 into mid-late October, depending on weather and the growing season.
July 20th: Deer Valley Concert Series – Sophia Dion
Sophia Dion was a budding star before she reached her teen years and she possesses a musical presence that defies her age. Just 15 years old, Sophia is already a true rising star. Uniting indie, soul, blues, and pop influences, Sophia’s singer/songwriter musical style has been influenced by KT Tunstall, Jason Mraz, Ingrid Michaelson, Joss Stone, Sara Bareilles and Allen Stone. Deer Valley’s Gourmet Picnic Baskets and Bags are available for purchase. All orders must be placed and purchased by 5 p.m. the day prior to the event. July 21st: Newpark Concert Series – Mojo Green
Mojo Green is a 7 piece Horn Driven Soul Funk Machine playing their own version of high energy horn driven dance music. Sharing the stage with some of the nations top touring bands and gracing the stages of the top West Coast Music Venues and Festivals, Mojo Green is quickly becoming a Soul Funk household name. Over the last fewyears Mojo Green has played over 200 shows taking their high energy, hard hitting, crazy dance party to venues such as ,The Great American Music Hall, The Grand Opening of the Hardrock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe, The Armory, The Sierra Nevada Big Room, The Sweetwater Music Hall, Harlow’s , The Crystal Bay Club Crown Room and the historic Celebrity Showroom at the Reno Nugget. Their touring schedule has given them the honor of sharing the same stage with powerhouse National acts like The Funky Meters, Left Over Salmon, Lettuce, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Rusted Root, The Motet, Trombone Shorty, Orgone, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Turkuaz, The Monophonics, Tea Leaf Green,Nigel Hall and has gained them the reputation of being one of the best live acts around. Over the past couple of years they have also had the opportunity to take their unique sound to major festivals such as Burning Man, The Hangtown Halloween Ball, The Squaw Valley Funk Fest, Off Beat Arts and Music Festival, The Bounce, For the Funk of It, Mateel Summer Fest and The Ridgestock Music Festival
July 21st-24th: Rock of Ages – Egyptian Theatre
Rock of Ages tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock ‘n’ roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more. Shows run through July 24 with performances on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
