Park City Events | September 1st-7th, 2014

Starting to feel like fall around town!  The leaves are starting to change in some areas.  The mornings are cooling off and the air just feels a but more crisp as we head into September.  We hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend.  See below for this week’s Park City Events:

Sept. 3rd:  Park City Farmers Market at Canyons Resort

Each Wednesday, into the fall, Canyons will once again host Park City’s Farmers’ Market from 12:00pm – 6:00pm in the Cabriolet parking lot. Stop by for fresh produce, fresh baked bread and arts and crafts from local vendors.

Sept. 5th-6th:  Fall Round Up Classic Car & Motorcycle Show

Please join us Friday Night at the Park City Peaks Hotel for a Cruise In around Park City at 6 pm.  Schedule of Events on Saturday: 8:00 – 10:00 Country Breakfast 10:00 – 11:00 Poker Run 11:00 – 4:00 Show & Shine 2:00 – 3:00 Hot Wheel Races 4:00 – 5:00 Awards – Unique 1 of a Kind Awards

Sept. 5th-6th:  Egyptian Theatre – Stand Up Comedy

Stand-Up Comedy with Headliners Eric Hunter and Cary Odes. Hunter was a Semi-Finalist at the Boston Comedy Competition, Winner of Atlanta’s “Late Night Laff-Off” and is known as a sarcastic, bright, clean comedian with original material. Odes was a long-time audience warm-up comedian for several sitcoms “performed before a live studio audience”.

Sept. 5th-7th:  Park City Film Series – Belle

Based on the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of an aristocrat, this gorgeous period film will inspire you with both its romance and timely sensitivity. Raised by her great-uncle and his wife, Belle’s lineage affords her certain privileges, yet her status prevents her from the traditions of noble social standing. While her cousin Elizabeth chases suitors for marriage, Belle is left on the sidelines wondering if she will ever find love. After falling in love with an idealistic young vicar’s son, they become instrumental in ending slavery in England.

Enjoy your week!
