Events in Park City | February 2nd – 8th, 2014

Feb. 6th-8th:  Comedian Jeff Ross – The Roastmaster General

Jeff Ross, the ‘Roast Master General’, is feared and revered for his appearances at celebrity roasts. In fact, making fun of people is a way of life for Jeff Ross. Called “an heir apparent to such old-school masters as Buddy Hackett and Rodney Dangerfield” by the New York Times, Ross has memorably and uproariously roasted many of America’s favorite stars. What would he say about you?

Feb. 7th-9th:  Park City Film Series – Dallas Buyers Club

Academy Award nominee Matthew McConaughey stars as real-life Texas cowboy Ron Woodroof, whose free-wheeling life was overturned in 1985 when he was diagnosed as HIV-positive and given 30 days to live. Shunned and ostracized by many of his old friends and bereft of government-approved effective medicines, he decided to take matters in his own hands, tracking down alternative treatments from all over the world. 

Feb. 8th – Jon Batiste

As spicy and richly textured as his native N’Orleans, jazzman Batiste and his New York City-based band of Julliard contemporaries dish out a steamy concoction of everything from ragtime to funk. Baptiste is to piano (and harmonaboard) what Hendrix was to guitar. He and his band don’t just play the music; they live it, breathe it and, most importantly, share it…

Feb. 8th – Transworld Snowboarding TransAm

The TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAm is back and bigger than ever for 2014! We’re still progressing, trying new things, and having fun. That’s what this contest has always been about. We declare winners and it’s a good way to get your name out there, but it’s really about the comradery that builds out of everyone just snowboarding together and having a good time.
