I hope everyone had a great week and enjoyed the snow that fell. We had an interesting forecast situation evolve last week. If you remember from my last post I was forecasting 4-8 inches for this storm. As the week progressed the weather models wanted to make this storm larger. By Thursday most weather sources were predicting 1-2 feet! As I had feared would happen the storm tracked directly over top of us. This sounds like a good thing but a lot of times in the mountains that is not. Totals ended up in the 6-12 inch range. Not a bad storm but many were disappointed we didn’t see the 1-2 feet most were predicting. Another life lesson on managing expectations 🙂 Check out below to see this week’s Park City Utah Weather Forecast:
Sunday: Partly Cloudy with snow showers throughout the day. Morning low around 0 and afternoon high around 10.
Monday: Partly Sunny. Cold. Morning low around 0 and afternoon high around 10.
Tuesday: Partly Sunny. Morning low around 0 and afternoon high around 20.
Wednesday: Mostly Cloudy, flurries possible. Morning low around 15 and afternoon high around 20.
Thursday: Snow showers. 1-3″ inches possible. Morning low around 15 and afternoon high around 20.
Friday: Partly Sunny. Morning low around 10 and afternoon high around 20.
Saturday: Sunny. Morning low around 10 and afternoon high around 30.
Enjoy the week! Models are starting to hint at a better storm cycle after President’s Weekend. Fingers crossed.
Think Snow,
Craig
