Sundance dodged the bullet this year! It seems like every year during Sundance we have a ton of snow. Great for skiers, not so much for everyone in town to promote their films and socialize on Main Street. We did pick up 3-6″ inches of snow this past week and reports were actually pretty good given the light accumulations. This week’s looks like winter will make a return to Park City. We have a storm coming in Sunday afternoon into Monday, another shot of snow Tuesday, and then a final round possibly on Wednesday night-Thursday. None of these are monster storms but I think by week’s end the mountains will have a fresh foot to potentially 2 feet in some favored locations. For the day by day details take a look at this week’s Park City Utah Weather Forecast:
Sunday: Snow starting around noon and picking up in intensity throughout the day. Morning low around 25 and afternoon high around 30.
Monday: Snow in the AM and then mostly cloudy – storm total 6-12″ inches Sunday night – Monday morning. Morning low 10 and afternoon high around 15. Dress warm it will feel much colder than it has been lately!
Tuesday: Snow coming back in late Monday night – early Tuesday, models are having a bit of a hard time agreeing on this one, so let’s call it 2-4″ inches with up to 6″ inches if we get lucky. Morning low around 5 and afternoon high around 10. Another cold one, but conditions should be great!
Wednesday: Chance of snow, cloudy. Morning low around 5 and afternoon high around 20.
Thursday: Chance of snow, cloudy. Morning low around 15 and afternoon high around 25. Wednesday-Thursday storm (very little model agreement here – best bet another 2-4″ inches with up to 6″ inches)
Friday: Partly Sunny. Morning low around 10 and afternoon high around 25. If these storms pan out Friday could be a bluebird powder day!
Saturday: Sunny. Morning low around 10 and afternoon high around 30.
Enjoy the snow this week, fingers crossed we get an upside surprise in totals!
Think Snow!
